Golden Turmeric Latte

It wasn’t too long ago we served up great holiday wine. But in these changing times, nutrition and wellness are of utmost importance & self-care should be our priority. Golden Latte is my grandma's go-to recipe to boost immunity, an ancient Indian magic drink to keep the doctor away. An incredibly easy-to-make treat & the perfect afternoon satisfier. Especially during this time of stuffy noses and winter humdrum, some healthy body fuel and aromatic goodness could not feel more appropriate. Enjoy!




Ingredients

  • One cups  almond milk (or any type of milk)

  • Two tsp ground turmeric

  • Three cardamom pods

  • One stick cinnamon

  • One tsp  agave syrup

How to make


1. In a saucepan add a cup of milk. Bring it to a simmer. Add turmeric, cardamom pods & cinnamon stick and let it simmer on low medium heat for two minutes.


2.Turn off the heat when you see little bubbles in the milk. Add agave syrup or honey, whisk to combine.


3. Remove cardamom and cinnamon. Pour latte through a mesh sieve/strainer into two cups.
